View Full Version : What does W mean against Lions

Anyway you look at it this weekend, a win against the Lions, will give any Tebow hater plenty of excuses. Excuses: Stafford doesn't play, Depleted Running Core, THEY ARE THE LIONS. If the offensive line can hold their ground, this is a very winnable game. Eric Wright,Amari Spievey, Louis Delmas, and Chris Houston-talk about a group of over achievers

LOL! That is what I was going to put down. While Stiefmaster breaks it down, we go for the easiest point from A to B.

But I will play, it means we are going for the division. I havent seen the game yet but it could be a Tebow masterpiece win or a win dispite Tebow sucking it up.

I thought that the lions were overrated early, but gave it a pass since they're arguably in the best div in the NFL. Still, I'm pretty sure that if any team tries to pass on these guys over 30 times, their qb is gonna have trouble finishing the game.

So, aside from hurting us in the draft, I'm not sure beating the lions in den says much. I think Elway and Fox thought 6 wins this year was achievable. Either the team underperformed or they over valued the chumps on the roster.

If we win and Lions give a solid effort its a good start for this young team. I'd also like better play from Tebow earlier in the game.

Tebow Grade:

F-for 55 minutes
A-for last 5 minutes

so it equals a C grade overall

Denver had 2 weeks prep work for mia see how 1 week works.

I say play the spread JUST so Tebow can truck Alphonso Smith.

If that little bitch is even active.

For the Broncos, a win makes Denver relevant in the division. Especially with winnable road games @Oakland and @KC.

For Tebow, a win means Tebowmania. It would just further the view that Tebow is a winner.

Means TT didnt hesitate and play scared for 55 minutes, and Champs new nickname is Optimus.

Like the incomplete chant, I think a great new one would be counting secs after the snap, ala Karl Malone at the free throw line.

It means one of the worst teams in the league is winning in spite of the 3-2 Tebow.

The story line will shift to "What's wrong with the Lions?" because a Broncos win would mean a 3 game losing streak for them.

Over/Under on Suh giving Tebow a cheap shot?

Is there an over/under to a probability of "likely to definetely?" Or are we talking about how many cheap shots Suh delivers?

What it means...

We are 3-4 facing a suddenly shaky Raiders team.
Back to back wins.
Andrew Luck talk dies down for another week.
Tebow haters continue to cry alone in the dark.
Another week of stupid comments from our favorite ESPiN people.
Happy Halloween.

Probably this. And to be honest if I was a Lion fan and the Lions lose on Sunday, I'd be pretty pissed asking the same things.

It is ridiculous, but at least we won a game and there's some hope for the team. It's been a long time anyone could say that.

You should be grateful, TGN. If he sucks, we'll know for sure at the end of 10 weeks. And if he doesn't, we will have our QB of the future. At best we found a good QB and at the worst we'll have closure and can turn the page.

My fear is that worst case we'll still be stuck somewhere in the middle at the end of the season. There is a level of play to which most people will say, "yes he's guy", and there is a level of play to which most people will say, "no, he isn't the guy." There is a good amount of territory between the two, however. Not having a definitive answer at the end of the season will be painful, IMO.

Show me some improvement against the Lions, Jets and Bears and I'll feel better. Right now I'm not convinced that he'll be a starter anywhere next year.

hmm a win means we can beat a real NFL team on the road I guess

some people say a win is a win, I dont though
the Dolphins are trash, they might not even win 3 games this year

The lions, even without Stafford, actually have an NFl quality team

I would be very happy if we won because I am still of the opinion this team sucks eggs right now and couldnt be a quality team

hopefully tim gives this team a spark

The same and then some can be said for McCoy. Is McCoy/Fox going to insist that Tim stand in the pocket while Suh blasts through our interior line or are they actually going to give our C/G combo a fighting chance against the guy by running some "sophisticated" running plays (traps, counters, end arounds) while constantly moving the pocket with bootlegs (fakes on every hand off Timmy carries out the boot action) and using an uptempo speed to wear Suh out? If Tim is standing in the pocket handing off iso/dive right/left all day long I don't think McCoy should even get a shot at cleaning out his locker. Just throw his crap in the street.

McGahee being hurt and a very thin receiving group worries me, but I think Detroit has slowed down as their lack of a running game catches up. I really think Denver could easily win this game if it had McGahee around to just mix it up the middle over and over where the Lions are surprisingly weak. Without him, McCoy better ditch his bull**** because if it's the same thing we saw last weak that defensive line will completely work us.

Denver's defense is actually a very good match up vs. Detroit's offense. Even with a weakened secondary, I think Denver should be able to hold its own. If Stafford is playing he will be having mind games going on in his head and pressure from players like Miller will only inflame it. I'm looking forward to this game so long as McCoy doesn't **** the bed and Tebow plays even average as a passer.
