Boy, you really have your hard on early for Sunday.

Hope you are correct, though. What about the defense? Dont they get the Tebow love on that side of the ball.... and the fact Matt Moore is QB?

So your saying that we score 28 against the Miami D?

Yep. Maybe even pass the 30-point mark.

I am an optimist at this point. Momentum is beginning to turn our way.

Low offensive output on both sides. Defensive TD swings the game.

I got Luck, Jeffery, Richardson, Barron, Hightower, Blackmon, Curry and Randall in Madden after Tebow led us to 4-12. I actually drafted 20 players. Ownin'.

Miami gives up 25.6 points a game and is ranked 27th in points per game . Kc is dead last in ppg at 30 a game. So I don't so why we couldn't have a good game on O and score 24 to 30.

We are second to last on the ppg given up list right behind Kc. Thank Tebow Miami is 30th in the league in scoring.

Hoping we have a big day Sunday.

Numbers wise, I'm not expecting great things.
It's a shot in the dark the way I see it.
I'm more interested in seeing how fluid the offense looks under Tebow for this being the first time with dedicated game plan and practice suiting Tebow's abilities.

I want to see the things that are going to be the staple of this offense.
What can Tebow show us right now that we can look forward to see in the future.
This is truly his first game as the QB of a team that it's now his, if you know what I mean

I don't expect Tebow to be really solid at this position for another 5-6 games from now.
Just plugging him in won't make miracles happen, but should be fun watching football again. We should see some promise.
I expect the game to be fun and be pleased with what I saw at the end of the day...
Patience!

I'll say

Passing:

Tebow 15/28 - 202 yards - 1 TD - 1 INT

Rushing:

Tebow - 12 carries - 49 yards
McGahee - 14 carries - 74 yards - 1 TD
Moreno - 5 carries - 21 yards

Receiving:

Decker - 5 catches - 84 yards
Moreno - 3 catches - 31 yards
Royal - 2 catches - 22 yards
D Thomas - 2 catches - 35 yards
McGahee - 2 catches - 17 yards
J Thomas - 1 catch - 13 yards - 1 TD

Broncos win 23 - 17.

I can easily see Tebow being good for at least a couple rushing TD's in just about any game he plays this season. I'm sure he'll have another couple passing TD's as well in a good day.
So at a bare minimum he'll be good for at least 2 td's a game...

I doubt they will score like that. Miami has some good CB.

Tebow 185 yrds passing 1 td 45 yrds rushing 1td
Magahee 80 yrds 1 td

Thomas 2-35
Decker 4-45
fells 3-25
Moreno 3-40

something like that with maybe a couple other TE/RB making up the rest. Tebow may get 200 yrds something like that.

Broncos win 27-24 on a Prater FG.

Hmmm I think there run d is weaker. They have a good pair of corners IMO and the defense overall not as bad as you think.

Also all of us long time Bronco fans understand that no team owns us quite like the Dolphins do. If not for our big win over them on the way to a Superbowl victory it would really be bleak.

Still they have a bkup QB and are winless. They are beatable this yr for sure.

DrFate
10-21-2011, 08:09 AM
Winning at MIA should effectively end the S4L talk, as I think the over/under on wins it will take to get the #1 pick is 1.5 (and I'm tempted to take the under)

I think it's between Indy and Miami, with MIN with an outside chance

That doesn't mean we won't hear talks of huge trades to move up, but I think Denver is out of the running with 2 wins (and there are a couple of other winnable games on the schedule)

Of course, maybe Tebow's play will have people talking playoffs

Success will depend on:

Coaches Game Plan

Coaches Play Calls

Teams overall performance, including the defense.

I think tebow throws between 250-300 yards, 2 pass tds, 0 ints.
I think he runs another TD in himself and has about 25 rush yards.

So all in all for tebow its 250-300 pass, 3total tds, 2 pass 1 rush, 0int, 25 rush yards.

Over this week I have gone back and watched the Tebow games from last season.

Some things of note:
-When the Broncos were letting Tebow mix the run and pass from the shotgun, they moved the ball at will
-the Broncos usually didn't start letting Tebow mix the run and pass regularly until the fourth quarter, when Tebow brought the Broncos back in the Houston and San Diego games
-The Broncos' play was uneven on both sides of the ball over the course of the games
-Tebow loved going to Brandon Lloyd and Jabar Gaffney
-Tebow's more comfortable in the pocket now, but still needs more patience
-There were much less discernable issues with the snap
-Tebow seems more comfortable in the offense now, we'll really see if this is true over the next few weeks
-Tebow has a great arm when he steps up in the pocket and delivers a throw, which he needs to do more of
-Tebow made incredible throws and he threw the ball into the dirt...this is a footwork issue...he needs to be more consistent in throwing from the same base instead of getting skittish and throwing from the back foot
-He can throw an incredible ball on the run, especially when moving toward the line of scrimmage
-There is no doubt that the players rally around Tebow. The defensive front 7 guys respect him...even the ones on the other team.

Some opinions:
-I think he'll improve his completion % to about 55% by the end of this season. His problems clearly had to do with mental issues concerning making reads and staying in the pocket. Once he gets comfortable with timing plays, his passing numbers will go up.
-If Tebow gets his completion % up to 55%, he'll be devastatingly good. The timing throws combined with his play-extending ability on broken plays and running ability would be an incredible arsenal. I think that it might take Tebow a couple of seasons to get that kind of consistency, but I really don't see any reason why he can't iron out those kinks in his game. We're just talking about footwork and getting comfortable in the pocket. He has already improved in both respects, and over the course of 11 games, I think that he'll have improved much, much more.

Another thing from re-watching the older Tebow games...

Kevin Vickerson was awesome at times in the Raiders game. His pick of Campbell was a freakish play from a DT. He shed his blocker and timed his jump perfectly, went straight up and snagged the ball right out of the QB's hand. Incredible play. He also put a wicked de-cleating block on a Raiders OL that blew him up so hard that he went head-first backward into the field and left the game.

I am looking for Decker to be our leading WR and go over 100 yards but have no TDs. I think Fells and D Thomas will have a TD each with Tebow rushing for another.

We are going to have to use plays where we send people out there running a mixture of routes and let Tebow worry about keeping the play alive and buy time to get the ball down field or take off if the defense drops too far back, that is the strength of a player like Tebow, if we confine him to the pocket we take away his biggest strength and highlight his biggest weakness. I expect that the Dolphins will use a lot of contain on the outside and then stunt inside to get under the tackles and try to get Tebow rattled and maybe force turnovers.

I think the snap problems from last game will be solved, I think that was mostly a result of Walton being used to snapping to a right handed QB and ending up snapping to a lefty which is different.

On defense I am looking for Moore to get a pick and Goodman to see a lot of passes thrown his way to Bess, Bailey should be able to keep Marshall completely in check.

Timmay throws for 8 TDs in the first half and runs for 12 td's. He's forced to score 6 two point conversions because Prater's exhausted.

At half time God announces that he's disgusted with Tebow's output and zeroes out the Broncos score.

The O and B go on to score 156 points in the second half. God is amused, but not satisfied
