Funs one word I suppose. I'm not sure about 20k fans cheering for an opposing player. I'd go for pathetic lame ass attempt to sell ticket by a clown team.

I imagine we'll be hearing a few Tebow chants this weekend.

They'll be more than a significant amount of people cheering for the Broncos in that stadium. Makes you wonder if the Dolphins want to lose. I never pick the Broncos especially in Miami, but they're 1-11 at home going back to last year. Makes you think with our starters back we have a shot...

Everyone's friend and the much beloved Stephen A Smith on ESPN also said that Tebow would do nothing and the Broncos will win despite him dragging them down. I really have no idea how this dude (Smith) is supposed to be some big time analyst and his opinion is worth constantly putting on tv... ? Every time I am unfortunate enough to hear this guy all he does is bad mouth and spew vitriole. I really hope that Tebow can show all these people that he actually does have talent at the QB position, he just needs some polishing.

Stephen A. Smith is only on ESPN right now because basketball isin a lockout. He has no business talking about football.

Kordell Stewart was even talking bad about him. Whats up with that? Like Kordell has any criticism of Tebow worth listening to. Ha!

Tebow is the guy who it is popular to hate. He's the groupthink fad of the year.

I have seen a few bits where Skip Bayless was pretty confrontational with Kordell about how Tebow is like him, but better. It was pretty funny to watch, but then Kordell took it personally and has been defensive about who is the better pro quarterback (himself or Tebow).

Hopefully, Tebow can put the argument to rest.

I thought ESPN reported that 10k Tebow jersey's were sold on the day (or day after?) the Broncos announced him as the new starting QB.

Anyone else happen to catch that blurb on ESPN to verify for me?

Initially it was 10K tickets, which has doubled within a day. I wouldnt be surprised at all if half of that stadium is wearing Tebow jerseys.

I wouldnt be surprised if the Dolphins pro shop sells Tebow jerseys on Sunday.

Is there a little jealousy that Tebow plays like the traditional "black quarterback" well and people like him? Watch those two clowns Smith and Stewart start throwing a fit when Tebow is compared to Newton on that segment. Their brains explode.

Saw the clip, Kordell was absolutely mad. So what he did suck.
Remember ROMO calling him stupid in the AFC Championship game basically by slapping his helmet like WTF were you thinking after throwing like his second or third INT, that one in the endzone................

Dolphins avoid blackout ......... thanks to Bud light

Tim Tebow wasn't enough for the Dolphins to sell the necessary amount of tickets to avoid a blackout, so they partnered with Bud Light to purchase the remaining tickets.

The team announced Thursday that Sunday's game against the Broncos will be televised locally. Bud Light will distribute tickets in South Florida to fans 21 years of age and older.

Seriously what qb has had more negative segments and shows about him? Tebow or Lienart? I've heard more about Tebow in 1 week the Matt Leinart whole career. Hell they don't even talk about Jamarcus Russell this much.

Let's face it people don't like him they love him. People don't dislike him they hate him. Tebow Sunday 200 yrds passing, 50 yrds rushing.

Let's face it people don't like him they love him. People don't dislike him they hate him. Tebow Sunday 200 yrds passing, 50 yrds rushing.

Just like anyone else, it depends on the context.

I have a friend who is a black woman from Florida, and she gushes about Tebow all the time. I keep her updated on Tebow, and she lights up when she talks about him. The same is true for just about any SEC fan. They all love the guy because he's very endearing and gracious not only to the fans of his own team, but to the coaches and players of other teams as well. You have to really be a miser to dislike the guy, and a downright jerk to root against him. Florida fans almost see Tebow as a family member. My friend talks about him like he's a son. She was telling me today about how she's going to have to approve of who he marries. Ha!

As for media dorks like Stephen A. Smith, I think that there really is a racial element to it. Clowns like Merril Hoge are just trying to be popular.

But then you listen to notoriously free-thinking Marcellus Wiley, who can't say enough good things about Tebow.

So I think it depends on the context. I believe that there are people who believe that Tebow should be a pocket passer because he's white and white people arent athletic. But Tebow is a freak athlete. He's athletic. That kind of throws a monkey wrench in their racial stereotypes.

It'll mostly just be idiots who scream with delight every time Tebow is on the field, which will actually hinder him rather than help.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't imagine these people who are just going to see Tebow are going to become diehard Broncos fans for the day and make some noise when Miami is on offense.

I am fairly certain they sold a large amount through advertising or the TV network bought a large amount.

Also, Dolphins fans are on the inside track in the suck for Luck race. The Dolphins fans want 0-16. Many will be cheering for Tebow for more than one reason.

A lot of Dolphins fans are not exacly happy that Tebow is honored, along with the Gators, being that it is Hurricane territory.

Unfortunately for them, most of the Canes fans have gold in their mouth, are awfully ignorant, and dont have money to go to the games. For 70% of Canes fans are not UM alumni. Very small school.

I think they'll be openly rooting for a Tebow win...it'll be a home game for the Broncos.

That said, I also think your right about these Florida convert fans. They're loyalty will always be to Tebow, not the Broncos. It just blows me away how many Florida Gator jerseys I see at Broncos games these days.
