The young OL is getting better by the week, young gladiator QB Tebow has taken over, Demaryius Thomas is back, young Julius Thomas is back, Von Miller is a sack machine, Marcus Thomas is back, Bunkley is having a good season, Dumervil is reportedly almost back to 100%, Dawkins is back, Decker is having an excellent season, Ayers is starting to look like a football player, Eddie Royal is back, Brandon Fells and McGahee have both been solid pick-ups, even Moreno made a play in the second half last week, and the Broncos are going on the road after a bye into what should essentially be a home game.

Bring on the Dolphins.

I think we have some good things to look forward to. The question is how long will it take all of these young players to develop and make us competitive again. I do anticipate this being one of the more fun stretches in recent memory, win or lose I think these next few games will be exciting

The big play is back in Denver.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Tebow/DT/Decker/Royal/Julius T/Fells looks like as the season rolls along.

I'm starting to like Fox.

He has been building methodically game by game.

I am happy that he's using the early part of the season to build the run game. That shows that he's thinking long term, and I'd love for the Broncos to be able to run the ball as a strength.

Several players have gotten better under Fox. Vickerson, Ayers, Bunkley, Walton, Beadles, McGahee, Fells, Decker, Vaughn, etc. Some arent good enough yet.

Also, he's a trend setter at QB. After Fox went to Tebow, other coaches made their switches too...Minnesota and Washington.

If expectations are for Tebow to take us to the playoffs this year, we're in lala land. I expect a combination of real good and possibly real bad, like a 3-4 int day. Luckily he gets some time with the 1's and the Dolphins for his first game as starter. I think he'll play good enough for him to get a chance next year. I think he goes 5-6.

If he gets them out of the Top 10 with what he's been dealt, he gets next season. If they're in the Top 10, they take a QB early (1st, 2nd or 3rd), if they're still in the Top 5 but not 1st overall, they take a QB in the 1st or 2nd.

I doubt it.

Tebow will be evaluated based on his play, not by how many games the team wins. If Tebow plays horribly and the team wins 7 games, do they keep Tebow then? If Tebow is brilliant and they win one game do they keep Tebow then?

Lets hope our coaching staff is smarter than the "if the team wins _____ games, then player x stays" stuff.

Yeah, ok. This team has no shot at 7 games if Tebow is terrible, so that little hypothetical by you goes out the window. Nice try though.

I have no doubt that Elway will draft a new QB if they're picking early, so yeah, how many games Tebow wins is going to directly dictate whether he's the starter in '12 or if he's got competition.

Superbowl XXXIII was won in Miami. During the regular season Denver has yet to pull a win in Miami, as far as I know; something like 0-5, and the record doesn't get much better at home (though I actually got to be at a home-win vs. Miami during the Plummer era). It is either the long distance trip or the swampy heat that does Denver in as the Broncos have lost to some bad Miami teams led by poor QBs in the past. This year's Dolphins are pretty horrendous, though.

It's the heat and humidity. Complete opposite of Denver. You're looking at 81 degrees for the high, 70 for the low with isolated thunderstorms this Sunday.

Will add: the humidity is pretty much gone now in FL.

It has been very frustrating to be a Broncos fan dating back to 2006. It has been hard to watch, and I have been almost conditioned to expect the worst.

Injuries, questionable coaching decisions (not just Mcdaniels), FO decisions (Not just under Mcdaniels), humiliating epic collapses (2008 and 2009), deaths in the organization.

Now to endure double standards in the press of the Tebow. The seething hatred, and the split between Broncos nation. There is a Mason Dixon line somewhere and it has been tough.

Now, I need to look forward and yes, I think there is a bright future. I am hoping for Tebow being a success more than I have ever wished for a lot of things as a sports fan. For a lot more reasons than just one. I would just just love to throw it in the face of the arrogant know it alls that have done nothing but laugh at Tebow about everything.

I do think this team has talent. Even with out Lloyd. I cant think of the last time a diva WR actually made a such a difference that won a championship.

Did Terrell Owens?
Did Randy Moss?
Did Ochocinco?
Did Brandon Marshall ever play for a team with a winning record?

Oh, please. The point is diva WRs dont really make as much of a difference as you think. That same TO didnt play in the NFC Championship game tha year when they finallly made it.

It is an over blown position and often times they create more problems.

Most of those diva WRs actually won it all.

You mention Irvin. Michael Irvin never held out, never spoke out against his teammates, never complained about his role.

You of course dont get the point, cause you are probably a FF warrior whose team has probably won a couple championships. You think that translates on the football field.

I am also not talking about WRs production. I am talking about what sort of problems they create in the locker room etc.

You need a solid defense, a solid OL and a good QB.

Very few exceptions. I know, I know....Dilfer etc.

In todays NFL QB play is most essential. Brandon Marshall has done nothing for the Dolphins. The Bengals were awful last year yet they had twoof those divas.

Point is diva WRs dont make the difference. It is the QBs leading the team that is more important.

So you screw ugly hags +3

Just when they thought you couldn't be any more of a douche, you surprise them all with an even more foul effluent.

No I don't, but Cassel at least can throw the ball. Teblow isn't going to be an elite QB...ever. At least Cassel could get into the pro bowl somehow. I doubt Teblow will ever take Denver to the playoffs :giggle:

Coming from the guy that didn't think Tebow had ever thrown for 4 TDs in a game or that his best pass is a jump pass...yeah I think I'll bet on Tebow over your dumb ass. Hilarious!

If expectations are for Tebow to take us to the playoffs this year, we're in lala land.
I expect a combination of real good and
possibly real bad, like a 3-4 int day.
Luckily he gets some time with the 1's and the Dolphins for his first game as starter.
I think he'll play good enough for him to get a chance next year. I think he goes 5-6.

WTF are you basing that pre-Dick-tion on, (a 3-4 Int day)? :ouwknow:

Tebow to date, as a Bronco PASSING QB:
He has 123 Total Combined Pro Pass Attempts that have resulted in 8 TD's to just 3 Ints.
(1 Int per 41 Atts --- 1 TD per 15 Atts)

Is no one ever going to just look at Tim's ACTUAL STATS,,, ???
and then give him his 'credit due' for his on the field performance? :twokisses

2010 - 82 Att, 41 Comp, 6 TD's, 3 INT'S, 82.1 PER

2011 Preseason - 31 Att, 20 Comp, 1 TD, ZERO INT'S. 108.3 PER

2011 - 10 Att, 4 Comp, 1 TD, ZERO INT'S, 101.7 PER

============

But is that something new,,,, or something that SHOULD have been expected?

995 Passing Attempts, to just 16 Ints. (Only one Int per 61 pass attempts)

College - 995 Att, 661 Comp, 9,285 passing yds, 88 TD's to just 16 Ints, SEC All Time Career Record >> 170.79 PER
(he got those passing stats while taking a beating from the SEC defenses, and still rushing for 2,947 yds with 57 TD's) 8')

I'm more worried than not. For the simple reason is if we can't win with a fully healthy team, a new supposedly fired-up, more winning oriented QB with our new coaches and players, against a horrible winless team that probably WANTS to lose, with a fanbase that will be screaming for our own player.. then we are in more serious trouble than I thought.

We better win this...

I am not going to declare "Broncos football back" until it actually is.

The one on the right is my "friend." She is the niece of a girl I went to HS with. She likes to "hang out" once and a while.

And the Number 1 Forum Loser for the Summer of 2006: Angry Llama

Why he sucks: Biggest drama king on the Mane. Biggest poser on the Mane. Bizarre compulsion to immerse himself in mindless hype over this week's favorite athlete (TEBOW). Author of spectacular hissy fit meltdowns when his teams inevitably choke. No sense of perspective or slightest inkling of how he's perceived on this board.

Defining moment: Predicting a sweep for the Mavs in The Finals and then disappearing for several days after they inevitably choked.

Good points: His transparent and pretentious affectations, and inability to handle defeat like an adult, make him ripe for parody.

Potential for redemption: I hope he never changes
