"Scour this report, identify all those areas in which we can act administratively without additional congressional authorization and just get it done," President Obama said today to a "Jobs Council" meeting.

I have watched this day coming for 15 years.
Good thing precedence matters to a lawyer:
Stop throwing the Constitution in my face. It's just a goddamned piece of paper!
Remarks during an oval office meeting (November 2005), attributed in Doug Thompson (2000-12-10), The Rant: Bush on the Constitution: 'It's just a goddamned piece of paper'," Capitol Hill Blue. Thompson claims to have contacted three unidentified people who attended the meeting for verification. Thompson acknowledges that he has often written reports without authenticating his sources and has ended up retracting many of them, but he stands by this particular report.[110]

Here's a strange thing; The Congress is so split along partisan lines that it refuses to do anything, forcing a president to find ways to bypass it, EXCEPT when their multi-national corporate bosses want a trade deal that makes them more money and gets rid of more jobs. Then, the Congress has no trouble getting together to swiftly move the bill through:
Congress -- if you listen to pundits and Washington politicians -- is completely broken. But when multinational corporate interests are at stake, suddenly the institution figures out how to get to work. On Wednesday, both chambers passed three sweeping trade agreements with bipartisan majorities, against the opposition of labor unions worried about job losses that would result.

Nah, the Constitution is a "Goddamned piece of paper". Executive Orders circumvent the constitution. I'm just waiting on the Supreme Court to rule the Constitution is Unconstitutional and it'll all be set.
