Hanging out with Paul Allen and Abramovich I see.

Paul Allen's boat (owner of the seahawks)

http://www.wirecyber.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/e7aba0e9b1bc1.jpg

It has two helicopter pads(where else would guests land their chopper?), one on the bow and one astern. A garage near the rear deck houses a four-wheel drive vehicle, which can be transported to shore via a specialized landing craft. The submersible -- yes that's right, submersible -- which is said to be able to stay under water for up to two weeks, launches through a hatch in the bottom of the hull. The former Navy Seals are presumably there to fend off pirates, or just in case you run into a real-life Dr. No in some forlorn corner of the South China Sea.
Of course, Octopus has more refined amenities as well, including a pool, a basketball court, a movie theatre and a full assortment of watersports toys that can launch from a seaside compartment. And what mega-billionaire's pleasure ship would be complete without a bar and hot tub?

I can see Snyder and Bowlen drag boating on the Mediterranean Sea in March. Hilarious!

considering that Bowlen is still paying 3 HC's according to some folks on here, i'd have to say that odds are Bowlen's had to downgrade his yacht a bit.

however, i bet he still beats Snyder's boat. knowing what we know about Snyder's spending habits, he probably spent $1.1M on caviar and champagne to fill up the pantry, but forget to buy any diesel fuel for the engines.

Why does it have a basketball court? How can you play with, you know, waves?

A ship that size doesn't really feel the waves until they are really big.

it isn't the size of the waves, it's the motion of the ocean.

wait.

what?

Huh, never knew that (biggest boat I've been on is a 40 foot fishing boat). How big of waves until you feel it? Wouldn't even a few inches movement mess up a b-ball game really good? I guess if you're docked/anchored in the harbor you could play pretty well then.

I have fished long range (8 Days) out of San Diego on a 123' boat and you DO feel the waves/swells for sure.

Check out golfer Greg Normans 200+ foot yatch

Not really sure. Maybe they only play while in harbor. I know they are going to play a NCAA exhibition game on an aircraft carrier this fall.

I'm sure you do, but Allen's yacht is 414'. That's about 3 1/2 times as long. Maybe we should ask Paul to take us for a spin to find out.. :~ohyah!:

Paul Allen seems like the kind of guy who can get anything he wants. Probably eats at Dorsia on Friday nights. They have a great sea urchin cerviche.

You can hire one of Abramovich's boats fully staffed 70 or so, costs about 1.2m a week.
