Perhaps the billboard in Denver imploring the Broncos to play Tim Tebow had an effect on coach John Fox.

OK, probably not. But Fox Sports reporter and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reported Sunday that the Broncos plan to play Tebow at quarterback in certain packages against the Green Bay Packers.

This is starting the gradual phase in of Tebow at the quarterback position. Fox is a locker room guy, and knew that the veterans wanted Orton in there. So out of perceived respect to them he will start Orton until the team is 1-4. With the playoffs essentially a pipe dream at that point, he can tell the locker room that things aren't working out, and player evaluations need to be made. I imagine Tebow starts @ Miami, and then we will have a week of build up to the Lions game.

Tebow, in his limited appearances as a rookie playing for an interim head coach and some of the worst game planning in the history of football, was better than Orton.

That's better than leaving the best offensive weapon on the team on the dang bench for the whole game because you dont want to hurt Orton's feelings.

Tebow is the anti-LeBron James. He scores when he gets the ball in the clutch.

Put Tebow into the entire game or don't at all.

Also, it had taken your hero 13 seasons to finally win a chip with all the money your owner had thrown at the team. You guys finally Yankeed it! Congrats!

There are just too many metrics running against the current situation to not start him by the bye. The status quo is going to bring about a 1/4 empty stadium, or a 30 percent Pats fans invasion by week 15, lost revenue, lost concessions etc. Not to mention a continuing decline in the perception of the franchise. NFL football is ultimately a profit seeking venture. The evaluation process with Tebow will result in two things:

1.) He plays well enough to start next year.
2.) He doesn't, but the team reaps the benefits of the Tebow Mania for one more year and eventually drafts (Luck, Barkley, Jones etc.)

They've got to figure it out either way.

Yeah, remember that Heat team that you gloated about all last season? The big three and all that? LeBron and the decision and the preseason championship celebration and all that? Well, little did we know that LeBron would crumble in the shadow of Dirk Nowitzki while Wade rolled around on the ground fake crying and holding his fake injured eye.

Remember that? That was awesome.

He has the same record as Dirk, and Wade will be 31 this next season. He's past his prime. He better hope that James and Bosh can start carrying the team, because athleticism disappears in a flash.

Wade will never win an MVP award.

Tebow is an offensive weapon on a team short on offensive weapons. They have to find some way to get him out there.

No doubt. What it comes down to is figuring out whether the guy is a 3 down NFL starter at QB, or more like a jumbo Brad Smith. Either way, it's short-sided not to play him at all in certain packages. I'm thinking he gets his shot to prove he's the 3 down guy starting @ Miami.

The lack of offensive weapons ties directly into the evaluation that this team needs to do as the season progresses. This extends beyond Tebow. My guess is we see start seeing Bey Bey Thomas (when he gets back), Decker, and Julius Thomas taking more and more prominent roles on offense. I think we'll see more and more of Lance Ball and Jeremiah Johnson more and less Moreno in certain packages too.

What it comes down to is that it will be fun to finally see Tebow utilized in the offense.

That seems so obvious, it almost makes me wonder if Tebow won't play this week, and this is some sort of desperate last-ditch attempt at psyching out the packers.

I wouldnt be surprised to see a Decker reverse today.

Hopefully when the Broncos bring Tebow out, theyll utilize him intelligently. Shotgun formation draws, etc.
