Includes Wide Receivers
Tim Brown (also KR), Cris Carter, Gary Clark, Mark Clayton, Henry Ellard (also PR), KEYSHAWN JOHNSON, Andre Reed, Sterling Sharpe, Jimmy Smith, ROD SMITH

probably a long shot with Carter and Reed and Brown there already... Nice to see Hot Rod get a mention

Undrafted FA and had a helluva career in Denver.
Good for Rod Smith to draw some consideration.
Heck, now that I stop to think about, why not this time around? ^5

my 2nd all time favorite Bronco.....no way on the HOF (of course he deserves it, but I don't see him getting the votes), but he will be added to the ROF this year.

Tim Brown is automatic. still wish we could have pulled off bringing him to Denver. Carter has been due for a couple years now, Reed is a guy i think will wait a bit, Sharpe is hard to say, full career he would have been 1st ballot, but i bet he waits awhile, Jimmy Smith is going to wait and sadly Rod is going to get overlooked for several years. if the greatest TE at the time of his retirement had to wait 3 years, the best UDFA ever is going to wait at least as long and probably will be a guy like FLoyd Little getting in as the senior candidate thing.

If Sterling Sharpe gets in then it totally opens the door for Terrell Davis. You can't have two sets of standards for entrance into the HOF. You can't say "this guy has great numbers but didn't play long enough" and then ignore this same rule for Sharpe.

Sharpe doesn't have the post season numbers either. In fact, the only reason Sharpe is bing mentioned is because Shannon brought it up during his induction.

I don't find it funny at all. It makes the nomination worth practically nothing.

Perhaps Keyshawn was named because Sterling was named?

Perhaps Keyshawn was named because Sterling was named?

my guess is he was included because he has incriminating photos of someone on the election committee

I still wear a Rod Smith Jersey every away game (my favorite White/Road jersey).

But here are some numbers, really the only thing Rod has going for him is the fact that he was undrafted and went on to have one heck of a career:

Rod Smith

TDS

Jimmy Smith

Thats what I thought too.

Other "huh?" selections:

Drew Bledsoe, Tiki Barber, Bill Cohwer.

Not a single one of those clowns deserves to get in before Terrell Davis. Short career or not, Davis was in the elite of the elite. None of those forementioned players ever came close to sniffing elite.

I think he should get it for developing Brandon Marshall...he was probably thinking...damnit, this kid needs his azz kicked but I won't let that get in the way of my sponsorship ego.

Rod is also a two-time super bowl champion.

One of which he caught an 80 yard TD in!! I'll never forget that.

Very good point on the rings! In my book, Rod Smith deserves the nod right behind Tim Brown and Chris Carter...

I was wondering but it is TSI. ;D

no i wasnt, i used to play on dreamcast when it was over dialup ( i remember trying to adjust netscape settings to allow me to connect for free) and he would run a go route for a touchdown damn near every single time.

i was kidding about him deserving of HOF, but if there was an NFL2k1 HOF he would be first in line...

I dont see how Carter wasn't a first ballot hall of famer. 2nd in like every category when he retired?

Tim Brown for sure.

Rod Smith isnt getting into the Hall of Fame. Thjose numbers, with 2 rings, on teh Steelers? First ballot lock. But he played for the Broncos and they wont put him in the HoF.

He was never the best receiver in his era either. That is going to count against him.

Too many good wide receivers in the nfl. Rod smith won't be in the hall. He will be in the ring of fame for sure.

Rod probably won't make it, but the sad thing is that Keyshawn probably gets more votes than he does. If that happens, the HOF is a total fraud.

I know Carter has unbelievable numbers, but I never thought that highly of the guy.

Keyshawn? this cannot be real life.

Rod and Reed wont get in any time soon considering how they are treating WRs.

As far as Carter, look at his numbers and it's obvious his lack of championships are holding him back.

Would love to see Rod get in but honestly I think he's too busy suckering people into his coffee multi level marketing BS to even worry about the HOF. Not sure what Rod did with his millions to have to stoop that low IMO. If you are his friend on facebook you know what I mean. Or maybe you don't and believe that Rod has the coffee that will make you a millionaire by joining his pyramid scheme. Ha!
