Clinton, in interviews over the weekend, touted President Obama's $447 billion jobs package as a smart move. But speaking with Newsmax, he criticized the president's deficit-reduction plan, which calls for $1.5 trillion in tax hikes to be collected by raising the rates on people making $200,000 or more and adding an additional calculation for people making more than $1 million.

"It's okay with me. I'll pay more. But it won't solve the problem," Clinton said, adding that the country shouldn't deal with increased taxes or spending cuts "until we get this economy off the ground."

Yeah, we can't cut down on $16 muffins (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44609600/ns/us_news-life/) or any other wasteful spending. Gotta keep the shrimp on the treadmill until we get the economy off the ground.

Just out of curiosity why doesn't anyone point the finger at the companies that got caught ripping off our government?

They are ripping off the taxpayers using the government as their vehicle. Bigger government just gives them a bigger machine to control. I don't think the companies pulled a fast one and blindsided the government. They all work together.

"Hobo"'s choice of handle is ironic, considering that 30 years or so of the rich leeching off the rest of us, gaining much wealth thereby, has greatly aided in the impoverishment we're seeing today.

He's been fully entrenched in shilling for the rich. He doesn't even realize he's a host to their parasitism - he perceives their sucking sound as a BJ...

This post illustrates why the left has become nothing but a droning sound of white noise. Irrelevant, ignorant, incompetent.

Here's income in fixed dollars over the last 30 years for the various quintiles, and the top 5%. All values are normalized so that 1980 = 100.

Justify.

Yes, I do. The bottom 20% has seen an income gain of a grand total of 6% since 1980; the top 5% has enjoyed an income gain of about 42% over the same period.

The poor have gone nowhere, the rich have gained hugely.

Now justify that increase in inequality.

In other words, the poor are deservedly poor, and the rich are deservedly rich, because the poor are inferior, the rich are superior.

You're wrong.

the PRIVATE SECTOR fleeced America for those muffins. Hotels REQUIRE that conferences buy food at their venues AT THEIR PRICES.

so, yeah, lets go after those contractors. caveat venditor. This forces the seller to take responsibility for the product and discourages sellers from selling products of unreasonable quality.

The 16 dollar muffins are a myth.

But the expense of Obama's campaign bus and midwest tour are not. Neither is the cost of Nancy Pelosi's private jets.

Then prove it sunshine prove to me these people are stuck where they are at with no means of rescue, what the dems refuse to do is actually go out and find out whats going on they simply throw money at it for votes ( that's a fact) nobody bothers seeing if these people even care to move up in the world whats funny is the rich are getting richer ( i wonder what would cause that?) hard work? investing money? being smart financially? creating jobs? you know earning it.

But in your world that's a bad thing and is frowned upon so you keep throwing money at the poor and nothing changes every single year ( it never ends)

You're just repeating what I already wrote - the poor are immoral and deserve their state; the rich are moral and thus are rewarded by being rich.

Yeah, so the answer is no. Look at your own graph again. Look at what happenes in 1983 witht the Reagan tax cuts. The bottom actually made more income than the next grade up. Same thing happenes in 1993 when a republican congress cuts wefare with the "end of big government". Also in your graph it shows when the "rich" stalls so does everyone else. The only time when the poor make gains against any other grade is when tax cuts and spending cuts(even when they are only cuts in spending rates) are made. Wake up dude. You are trying so hard to prove other peoples point that you don't see the truth.

30 years of tax cuts have earned the poor a 6% increase; 30 years of tax cuts have earned the very wealthiest a 42% increase.

The lie is that tax cuts benefit everyone. They do not. The benefit the very wealthiest most, and the poorest very very little.

The sick thing is that you've bought into the lie. Why do you support a lie that wrecks you?

That's your own graph, dude. Look at it! Each time when those events happene, the poor and every other grade jumped in wealth. But guess what, after those events Dems and RINO's heap taxes and regulation on people and the graph stalls. The truth is looking at you in your own graph!
