Royal will be out for at least two weeks, per NFL.com.

Hopefully Lloyd comes back this week.

Royal kills the flow of the offense anyway, Decker should start with Royal in the slot

Edit: I wonder when BayBay comes back :strong:

Denver doesn't know how to utilize Royal correctly, maybe its Orton maybe its just the offensive staff doesn't get his strengths

Fixed.

We should be using him like Carolina uses Steve Smith.

Royal is (when he returns) and was our most explosive weapon on offense since he was drafted, hes a play maker and hes not used nearly enough on offense.

It did kinda look as if he was on his way to a big day before that groin pull tho.

yeah as much as I want Eddie to do well, he just isn't what I would like in there other than another body which at this point we need

too bad, I cannot figure out if he overachieved his first year, or if McD stunted his growth or what

Eddie Royal would have continued to progress under Shanahan. McDaniels ruined him along with Clady

I am just not sure this is the case anymore, I do agree that McD didn't use him like he should have but Eddie makes his share of mistakes

I wouldn't say he's our most explosive player at this point

I heard it was a pulled groin. Not too bad. I hope he'll be alright... probably my favorite personality on the team.

cutler targeted him and could hit him. he is an afterthought to orton. pkus orton usually hits his feet or throws behind him. after a while I imagine eddie forgot how to catch.

They tried to take an outside guy with 4.3 speed whos never played the slot in his life and turn him to a Wes Welker type player.

just like they took Ayers a guy whos played DE and DT tweener all through out college and placed him at 3-4 OLB.

Not to mention took Clady and Harris two book end zone system tackles and tried to turn them into power scheme blockers.

the staff before had no idea what they were doing with their players.

agreed, but that shouldn't make Eddie start dropping passes should it?

I agree

I love Royal but, he has not made enough of a impact to be considered an explosive player except his rookie season.

Most of those passes hes dropped were pretty far ahead of him or far behind him.

I think all pre-season and season hes dropped 2 maybe 3 passes that he really should have caught.

Granted I was at the game, so I cannot say for sure without going back and looking but I am fairly certain he dropped at least 1 key pass against Oakland that was right in his hands.

Listen, I am not arguing with you about this....as I stated, I like Eddie and have nothing against the kid. But to say that he isn't getting a shot based on last year, just is not correct IMO.

Now, Orton not targeting him is another story but that's not on the coaches.

I didn't say hes not getting a shot based on last year I was saying we need to utilize him more, which I hope the coaches wanna do because lets face it outside of Bey Bey hes our only sub 4.4 guy on offense period. Speed kills in the NFL on offense we got a speedy guy and we don't utilize him enough.

Yeah this year we only seen him in one game, so for that other guy to say he kills the flow of the offense based off of 1 regular season game that is ridiculous almost everyone dropped balls against the Raiders. The 2nd game he got hurt but actually had 2 catches pretty quickly he seemed like he was going to be a big part of their gameplan.

I still feel like Royal will end being used right and is going to be here for the long run when its said and done he will be part of a great WR trio along with E. Decker and D. Thomas. I love watching Lloyd and those crazy catches but I doubt we will give him that big contract he really wants.

I'm surprised it's only going to be two weeks, usually groin injuries take a long time to heal.

The announcers said last couple of years the formula to stop Royal was to jam him at the line. They were playing off in his 1st year because of his speed. I'm doubt that's true because the reason we chose Eddie over Jackson was because he could beat the jam.

BayBay is the WR version of Knowshon Moreno. i am putting no hope at all in him ever becoming a big contributor to this team and would not be surprised if once the finger is healed if he injures something else practicing and misses the whole season.
